About me
I began my museum career in 2005 at the Spencer Museum of Art. I currently serves as the Spencer’s Deputy Director for Operations and Innovation and oversee the museum budget and finances, grant and foundation management, digital initiatives, human resources, communications and creative services, building facilities and security, and legal matters. As head of digital initiatives, I have facilitated the creation and implementation of the Spencer’s first strategic digital plan, secured funding for and implemented software system upgrades and other digital initiatives, and overseen the development of multiple web-based applications and website enhancements and redesign. A graduate of the University of Kansas, I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics Education, Master’s of Science in Teaching and Leadership, Master’s of Art in Art History, and PhD ABD in Art History. Prior to working at the Spencer Museum, I taught mathematics at the collegiate and high school levels.
